after writing this good news, i feel bad complaining that i barely slept all night. max woke up literally every two hours and ate 2 ounces. i was so mad! i took it out on my poor husband in the morning and im sorry but i had to. rice cereal is going better, i can already begin to imagine the day when i can stop pumping!

ReplyDeleteYana-Thanks so much for posting his labs.. His Monocytes didn't go down too far so hopefully Max's WBC will go up again tomorrow... On a side note, so glad to hear you're pumping breast milk for Max.. That is really great. Our BMT team said the reason Bella did not get mucositis was because I still breast fed her... They said it protected her mouth, throat and gut. I hope this does the same for your little Max -that mucosistis is some nasty stuff.
I remember those sleepless nights it comes with living in a hospital.. I feel for your Hubby but my heart goes out to you as I know how tough it is. Hug your Hubby and take a nice hot shower to relax yourself.. Some times my 5 minute showers were the only times I had to destress-not a lot of time but it was better than nothing.

Max didn't get mucositis either! i'm glad to hear i may have had something to do with it. pumping is one of the few things i can control and help with, so as much as i hate it, i try to keep going.
